When derriving ActiveX controls from CComCompositeControl the virtual functions OnDraw() and OnDrawAdvanced() are not being called. A look at atlctl.h reveals that OnDraw is called from OnDrawAdvanced, which is in turn called from CComControlBase::OnPaint.
